TSA PreCheck Enrollment Currently Being Offered at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport

tsapre-02

Avoca, PA  – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is currently offering TSA Pre✓® enrollment at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport (AVP) from August 28-September 1, 2017.

How many times have you stood in line at the airport watching others breeze through security with no hassle? By enrolling in TSA Pre✓®, you too can breeze through security. Keep your shoes, jacket and belt on; your laptop in its case; 3-1-1 compliant liquids in your bag; and enjoy a better overall travel experience. TSA Pre✓® allows low-risk travelers to experience faster, more efficient screening at participating U.S. airport checkpoints for domestic and international travel.

Airlines that serve AVP, including Allegiant, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines, participate in TSA Pre✓®. A passenger must be flying on a participating airline in order to be eligible to use the TSA Pre✓® lane.

A temporary enrollment center is currently located at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, in the Pocono Club & Business Center, from Monday, August 28, 2017 through Friday, September 1, 2017. This location will be open Monday to Wednesday, from 10 AM to 2 PM & 3 PM to 7 PM, and Thursday to Friday from 7 AM to 11 AM & 12 PM to 4 PM.

Travelers who are U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents can begin the process by pre-enrolling online at www.identoGO.com/PreCheck. Click on the words, “Apply Now!,” and follow the prompts to set up an appointment to visit the temporary enrollment center at AVP. Walk-ins are accepted, but will be enrolled on a first-come, first-serve basis around scheduled appointments.

More information on the application process is available at www.identoGO.com/PreCheck.

Applicants are required to make an in-person visit to the enrollment center to verify citizenship or immigration status, as well as provide fingerprints. There is a nonrefundable application processing fee of $85.

Once approved, passengers will receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN) making them eligible to utilize TSA Pre✓® lanes on a consistent basis at security checkpoints at airports nationwide. Travelers are encouraged to save their KTN in their frequent flyer profiles with the airlines. Children 12 and younger are permitted to use the TSA Pre✓® lane when traveling with a TSA Pre✓® eligible parent or guardian.

Thirty-seven airlines currently participate in TSA Pre✓® including Aeromexico, Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, Allegiant, American Airlines, Aruba Airlines, Avianca, Boutique Airlines, Cape Air, Copa Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Dominican Wings, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Frontier Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, InterCaribbean Airways, JetBlue Airways, Key Lime Air, Lufthansa, Miami Air International, OneJet, Seaborne Airlines, Silver Airways, Singapore Airlines, Southern Airways Express, Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, Sunwing Airlines, Swift Air, Turkish Airlines, United Airlines, Virgin America, Virgin Atlantic, WestJet and Xtra Airways.

Over four million people have enrolled nationwide in TSA Pre✓® since it was first offered in December 2013. There are currently more than 380+ enrollment centers located nationwide.

As always, TSA continues to incorporate random and unpredictable security measures both seen and unseen throughout the airport. All travelers will be screened, and no individual will be guaranteed expedited screening.
