Vacations start at AVP, inaugural international flight takes off.

The inaugural international flight from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport to Freeport, Bahamas departed Saturday, September 19th at 9:00 a.m, the Bi-County Airport Board and Team AVP announced.

A sold-out flight of 189 passengers, convened in the AVP terminal and started their vacations
right from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. The 4-night, 5-day package through AVP’s partner Regional Sky includes all-inclusive accommodations at the Memories Grand Bahama Beach and Casino
in the Bahamas.

“We are so proud to provide the community with an opportunity for a trip like this. It is even more pleasing that the flight was an overwhelming success,” said Carl Beardsley Jr, Executive

passengers will also travel on the largest aircraft to currently leave the airport, a Boeing
737-800.

“It was a pleasure to work with Team AVP on this memorable flight. We look forward to more in the future, thanks to the positive feedback in the community,” Jim Gallagher, President of
Regional Sky said.

non-stop flights to eight destinations. Air service is provided by the following airlines: Allegiant
