AVP-Cell-Phone-Lot-3

Avoca, PA (September 26, 2019) – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport opened its new cell phone lot today, providing an additional alternative for those that are picking up arriving passengers.

The purpose of the cell phone lot is to reduce congestion by preventing cars from continuously circling around the Airport, or trying to wait in front of the Terminal Building.

Motorists coming to pick up passengers can drive to the Cell Phone Lot that is located on Airport property. The lot is free and is located off the entrance to the Airport. The lot features space for approximately 35 vehicles and is less than a one-minute drive to the Terminal Building.

Drivers must stay with their vehicles in the lot. Wait time is recommended to be no more than 30 minutes.

Directions to the Cell Phone Lot

As you approach the entrance to AVP, turn right onto Navy Way Road. Simply follow the signs for the Cell Phone Lot. Travel a few hundred feet and the lot entrance is on your left.

If you are on Terminal Drive, make a left at the first stop sign. At second stop sign, go straight onto Navy Way Road and follow the signs for the Cell Phone Lot. Travel a few hundred feet and the lot entrance is on your left.
