Avoca, PA (March 26, 2024) – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport has received word from Breeze Airways that they will begin non-stop service to Fort Myers this October.
Beginning October 3, 2024, Breeze will offer twice-weekly service on Thursdays and Sundays to Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers, FL. This will complement Breeze’s current non-stop Orlando service.
“Breeze’s announcement accelerates the momentum for more service at AVP to destinations where people in our region most want to travel,” said Matt McGloin, AVP Board Chair. “It’s a testament to the hard work of the airport leadership but, most important, to travelers who recognize that they can get where they want to go from our airport. The Breeze decision is further evidence that local travelers should look to AVP first.”

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AVP) to Fort Myers, FL (RSW):
Depart AVP at 10:35 AM; Arrive RSW at 1:35 PM (Thursdays & Sundays)
Fort Myers, FL (RSW) to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AVP):
Depart RSW at 7:00 AM; Arrive AVP at 9:55 AM (Thursdays & Sundays)
