Avoca, PA (September 15, 2023) – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport is proud to announce an awesome children’s event taking place at the Airport tomorrow. AVP’s Wheel Life Experiences will be a family-friendly event hosted by the Wilkes-Barre/ Scranton International Airport, and on Saturday, September 16, 2023, the 3rd Annual Event will take place at the Airport from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM rain or shine!

A real-life experience is defined as life as it is lived in reality, involving welcomed and unwelcomed experiences, as distinct from a fictional world. Real life experiences are mainly thought to occur with adults. However, children can have a “Wheel” Life Experience at AVP come tomorrow, as they can get up close and personal with air and ground vehicles, rather than just reading about them, or seeing them in action around their communities. These machines are something that children get to see, but not get to touch or be close to. Those real-life experiences can now be “Wheel” Life Experiences that children can enjoy!

This event will be family-friendly, where children will be able to experience all types of vehicles, including air transportation, construction, public service, emergency, utility, landscaping, delivery, and many more. Children will be able to get in the driver’s seat of their favorite vehicles, learn about those vehicles, and have a “Wheel” Life Experience like adults get to do on a regular basis, as well as see and talk to the men and women who serve and protect our community.

This year, there will also be a vintage/classic car and motorcycle show for the “children-at-heart”!

Admission is $5.00 per person (children 2 and under are free). For the car/motorcycle show, registration is $15.00 for cars (includes driver and up to three passengers); registration is $10.00 for motorcycles (includes up to two riders).

AVP’s Wheel Life Experiences 2023 will have aircraft, helicopters, trucks, cars, tractors and rigs of every shape and size to help bring children up close and personal with the machines that build their world, as well as interacting the men and women who serve and protect them.  AVP’s Wheel Life Experiences will offer exhibitors the opportunity to interact with children and their parents, as well as volunteers, and the community at large.
